Background

HotSpot began as an idea conceived by a group of students at the University of Calgary. A crude proof-of-concept prototype was created in 3 months and after showing it to family, friends, and fellow classmates, the members of HotSpot realized that it is something people wanted.

The team decided to continue pursuing the idea. After expanding, the team constructed a prototype closer to a marketable product.
